When someone dies and people say "it was just his time", that's just a feel good cliche. There is no grand scheme or plan about who lives and who dies. It's just a matter of circumstance. Are bodies are fragile and temporary. We all die and dead is dead. Deal with it. There is nothing just about who lives and who dies. It's usually a matter of being in the wrong place at the wrong time or your body just giving out.

This is a Q. I have to respect.
This is a subject debated in all corners of the world. It causes some very heated opinions, and noteworthy examples of fate. I will give you my opinion and that's all it is.
My feelings are strong towards Fate, whether you you say it is written in the Stars, or in the Book, that holds every ones name. I definitely feel if it's your time to go, it's your time. I established this when a family member who didn't smoke, drink, had a perfect cholesterol count, etc. died of Cancer of the pancreas. Then there are some, who are obese, smoke, drink, etc. and they keep going and going. There is an argument, these things are genetic. Maybe so, but exposed to scientific proof, is just theory, and is not prov-en either.
I know of many other examples of the "wows", or puzzlement's, for reasons why some die young, or old.
I believe in the acquisition that all comes from God. The life we live is a gift from God, because any person who can see past the their own pain and sorrow, can plainly see how beautiful, and wondrous the Universe is. We labor and toil, to prove evolution is how we all got here. Wisdom, teaches me different. We all have a purpose for being here. So, consequently, I believe in Fate, Yes, a Big Yes to your question.
I'd love to hear otherwise.

I think that perhaps a lot of people think of death as the last unexplored area. We've tried going there and coming back (wasn't Julia Roberts in a movie about that?), people have tried to explain it with religious theology, scientific research applications, and mystical out-of-body experiences with Shirley McLain.
When, where, how; these are all things we wonder about ourselves and the human race in general. Will it hurt? Will my soul survive intact? What will my loved ones do without me?
My own opinion is that some people are here for a specific purpose; since I believe in God I think that it's highly unlikely that Moses would have tripped on a rock in the desert and knocked himself out of play before God's purpose for him was completed. After that, I think that yes, there is an amount of luck to when you pass on. Not every one has a history-changing purpose to their life; sometimes just having a good life makes God happy :)

I don't believe in it. Though when I was young, my whole family went to a fortune-teller, everything she predicted so far came true. She predicted my dad is going to die 'soon'(he died few months after the visit to this fortune teller). But i think it wasn't just mere fate. Till these days, i believe it was an inside job, knowing my father was about to be promoted to Lt. Col. three months before his demise.
Death happens, but it's not because we have a invisible timer above us. There is in a way an invisible clock-in the concept of God. But He doesn't allow death as it caused by Him, but by the world we live in.
My father, died same exactly the time the fortune teller predicted, but I was theorizing by myself, that my father may have talked about it to friends he thought could be trusted, but turned their backs on him and plotted his death and make it look like he died as it was his fate to die as said by the fortune teller. I never talked about this idea to any member of my family, they all thought it was his fate to die. But i am not convinced but i keep it to myself what i think about it.
People who have experienced near-death experience They come back to life because it is not their time to die. And I truly believe in it. Has anyone thought that will-power is very strong faculty of the mind, that it can make the intellect intercede with the soul to make it come back to the body?.Or if the soul has reached the 100th step, God may accept us or send us back for reasons.
Summing up, I believe death is not caused by God or invisible clock, it is caused by random probabilities, worldly in nature-diseases, accidents, other people etc.

yes and no...i believe that some people are just at the wrong place at the wrong times somehow.
If there were hundreds on a plane, is it ALL their time to go at the same time? Babies, old people, the mentally challenged?
I believe there are miracles and such, but sometimes I think the "time to go" law just doesnt fit into the accident category.....

It has been said that "Death" can be seen right over your right shoulder as in the form of a shadow, as the shadow increases in size so does your chances of dying. I believe I read this in one of Carlos Castenedas Books, "The Art of Dreaming"

Your death is a part of your life. It is with you always and chooses its own time for its own reasons. We can and should resist death at every turn but remember that it is always with us.
Once you realize that you can die at any moment you learn to ignore the petty and insignificant things in life and to focus on those things that really are important.

I do not believe so, your put here by god and you control your destiny. If your dieing and give up and say god take me, god is going to take you. However if your dieing and your like "**** THIS" and you gve it every ounce of your strength you wont die. I prefer believe I'm in control
