Do you liberals feel that all these anti war protests, the House and Senate resolutions, provide encouragement to our enemies? Do you not feel that every terrorist blog, every muslim country will see this as a defeat for America?

How do you conservatives feel falsely portraying the war as winnable while the rest of the world and 70% of this country know it is not.

How do you feel putting our soldiers in the middle of a civil war knowing many of them will be killed because of your stupidity and stubbornness?

You are assuming the man in the street in our enemies country is sitting and watching TV that tells him that the US is sick of the way the war is being run. When the truth is that they don't get the truth anyway due to heavily censored news and TV, if fact they would get more support in enemy country if the news says that the US is a great satan and has said that they will fight the Martrys to the death. Oh wait, they already say that. Our enemies need no encouragement, they don't care what we say or do, they don't care who we support, and who we don't, they only want to kill us. They are quite single minded about it and its not just Americans, as they have bombed the British and the Indonesians and the Spanish. Its not all about America, its about a struggle in the Muslim world between Sunni and Shiia, and about the defeat of the Infidel.
Why don't you get outraged by the 10 Billion dollars that have been "lost" by corporations making money off this war? Why don't you demand as much oversight for this and you do for a 'welfare queen' who might be stealing $60 thousand in a really good year? TEN BILLION lost, when our own New Orleans has been promised 175 Million dollars to rebuild and only half of that has been distributed. Where is your outrage over that?

I'm not a liberal but I really don't get the mentality that says you're not permitted to protest a war that is obviously unwinnable. I'm talking specifically about Iraq, not terrorism, I think no matter what we do, whether we are there or not there, the place will always be a cesspool of violence and religious fanatacism. I mean what's your solution? Stay there forever, pumping billions each year into this hellhole? Truth is we never should have gone in the first place. I agreed this was a bad idea from the start and now it turns out I, and a majority of Americans, were right. There is something to be said about knowing how to pick your fights. This was the wrong one. And to say "leaving will empower our enemies" is a joke, prove it. You can't.

What provides encouragement to our enemies is when we screw up. Your confused. We are just giving the reality. The reality being that we lost in Iraq. Instead of putting the blame for the defeat on the messenger, you should take some responsibility. Your the ones that are providing encouragement to the enemy. The more bad things we do (like continuing to occupy Iraq, after we found no WMDs) the more the world in general hates us. There will be people that will hate us anyway. The last thing we should want is to give them a good reason. If our fight were just, and the rest of the world didn't like it, my attitude would be TO HELL WITH THE REST OF THE WORLD ! But that's just the thing, the Iraq situation is not justified.

First off, people opposed to the war certainly include but are not limited to liberals. Retired generals are opposed to the war. The late Gerald Ford was opposed to it. Republican Senator Chuck Hagel has literally vowed to oppose and fight against the proposed escalation, oh excuse me, "surge". The world is infinitely more complex than conservatives versus liberals, and it's time you understood that.

Secondly, the war should never have been started in the first place. Playing ostrich isn't going to change that. Iraq is neither a stable democracy nor in the process of becoming one, it's in the midst of a bloody civil war, and it had neither WMD nor credible links to 9/11. Pretending that there *WERE* WMD, or that they'll soon turn up, or that there's palpable reason to believe that staying in Iraq is going to lead to anything other than more deaths and carnage does nobody any good, save for Bush and Cheney's cronies in the defense and oil industries.

At what point do insipid platitudes about "emboldening the enemy", "staying the course", and "cowardly evil-doers who hate us for our freedom" either cease to resonate with you or inspire you to enlist and catch the next flight to Baghdad?

I am not a liberal but a realist. Who exactly are we fighting over there? The Iraqis? Terrorists you said. Fight them there so not here? OK. We won the war in Iraq. It was a cake walk. Our occupying the country and pussy footing around getting the Iraq military ready created this. The war is over. Let them fight their own civil war. Pull back to the borders, keep foreign fighters out, and let them at it. Only they can fix their bias against one another. They will figure it out.

Stereotyping people is wrong and dangerous. It is like saying that since Mark Foley and Ted Haggard are gay Republicans, all male Republicans are gay. Do you see how silly your statement and my statements are? They make no logical sense.

I am a liberal and do not support the House and Senate Resolutions.

I must say to David above, there couldn't possibly be a better answer to this question. Knowledge every American needs. I'm a military man, no liberal, no b/s. Wake up people!

Liberals are the enemy within, all Great Countries are destroyed
from within. Defeat for America is what the Democratic party
wants, why else do you think they give aid to the enemy.

liberals don't care how many more soldiers may die without the equipment and extra troops. liberals are happy when the daily death reports come in. liberals want to defeat bush at all costs and it doesn't matter how. only liberals would think about going to a war with an outcome other than winning.

God Bless Our Troops. Let them know that real Americans still support them.
