Come on now ! be realistic ! The duke is far too long in the tooth to go to war, in anycase, he retired from the armed forces years ago. Another reason is that the war has escalated all by its` self so far. If he went out there and put in his tuppence `s worth, it could quite possibly escalate into a world war, you know what he is like, he insists on saying it like it is whether other countries like it or not!! ( Bless him!)
Boxing pugs`comments about the Windsors and war, are not entirley correct, Prince Andrew served on HMS Invincible one of only two aircraft carriers at the falklands, he was a Sea King helicopter pilot and flew from the invincible, to act as a decoy for exeocet missiles. To say he was 200 miles away from the war, is an absolute lie and insult. When HMS Sheffield was hit and was on fire, he flew his helicopter over the ship to fan away the black smoke, to enable the rescuers get the wounded and burning men off the ship. Doing this he endanged his own life, he could have crashed into the ship, visibility was nil, he helped save many sailors along with other helicopter pilots. This is all a matter of independent record.Don`t ` knock ` the man because you appear to dislike his family. He was there in the thick of it, presumably you were not. Another point, it is not the fault of royalty that they are rarely allowed on the front line in wars, it is the government which forbids it. If the enemy in any war were able to capture the son of the Queen of thecountry they were at war with, the ramifications would be horrendous. During the Falklands conflict, the Queen had to order the Prime Minister to allow Andrew to serve with his men. Read your history before you start shouting out about something you know nothing of. If you try to be `bolshie` about something and your facts are wrong, it just makes you look a fool. Always check your facts.

you've been informed incorrect and are puzzled on some issues. certain, Prince Phillip is a Prince in his personal actual. it is the reason he's termed Prince Phillip, the Duke of Edinburgh, assessment that with Catherine, who isn't a Princess, so is basically Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. The Queen gave the Duke (as he grow to be then) the identify of Prince in 1957. He grow to be born Prince Phillip of Greece and Denmark, yet gave up those titles. Upon his marriage to the Princess Elizabeth, her Dad, King George VI gave him the identify Duke of Edinburgh. So there grow to be Princess Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh. He wasn't a Prince then. yet, as already suggested, she issued letters Patent in 1957 to make him a Prince. because the monarch, she will supply anybody any identify she likes. Being a prince consort, would not advise you're a prince, it basically means you're a male, married to the Monarch. lots of the time besides the undeniable fact that, because you're married to the monarch, you're a Prince, as she or her kinfolk in the previous her have given you that identify. besides the undeniable fact that, Phillip grow to be for a time, Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh, prince consort to Queen Elizabeth II.

Its the same as the generals in the old wars, they get sent to war but are never on the front line or in any dangerous situations, they are kept at a distance, as for Prince Harry, he will probaly be sent out on safe duties but will have the odd few photo oportunities with the main men.
