It's true than pizza is a common dish in Italy, among dozens of others, but I'm Italian, living in Italy, I've been in a lot of places inside the Country but... I *never* even *saw* a "mandolino". Piano and guitar are popular, mandolino is a stereotype. I think even banjo is more popular...

I've been living in Italy for 8 years....you can find pizza, but I still have not found anyone that plays the mandolino.

NOT. Italy is a beautiful and varied country. I spent 3 1/2 years in Sardinia, and several stops in the mainland and 6 weeks in Sicily. That would be one country I could spend the rest of my life someplace besides the U.S.
