how do you stop your tights from laddering?

anything esle that can be done other than nail vanish

If a little hole appears, seal it with clear nail varnish.
If you have no nail varnish handy (ha ha) you can stop the run with a good rub over it with a bar of soap, it's not the best, but as a short term solution it's better than nothing.

believe it or not but when i was at a party i noticed a small ladder in my tights n a friend told me to take them off turn them inside out and put them back on and that will stop the ladder from going an further, at first i laughed but tried it anyway and it actually worked and you cant tell that they are inside out and the hole never got any bigger!
