if you buy something for someone else in their name will the shipping service send you a received note?

Say if I bought somthing but wanted to ship it to someone else. Will the shipping service send me a received not ???????????? thnx

It sounds like you are buying a gift and shipping it directly to the recipient. Yes, you are supposed to get some reciept as you paid for it.

Depends on the shipping service. Most will give you a tracking number. You can use that number to see when the package was received.
