By far the most concentrated numbers are France and Spain. However you could go wherever you like in the EU, and there would be no reason not to. A nice retirement in the sun is the order of the day for many Brits looking abroad; younger people tend to find it more difficult, what with the language barriers in the workplace.

From what I've heard from friends and family alot go to France. I hear Norways becomeing a popular destination and surrounding areas.

I emigrated to cyprus and there are a lot of english people that are here. Also spain is quite popular
