If your girlfriend is of an age to be considering intercourse, she absolutely should not have her mother in the room when going to the gynecologist. Any reasonable mother would know this, and expect that her daughter may want to ask sensitive questions of her physician.
Please consider the possibility that your girlfriend really just does not want to have sex with you, but (like many girls) is afraid of "losing you" by outright demurral, especially in today's culture of free and easy sexual mores.

have you ever heard of the Hippocratic oath? well it's an oath that a doctor swears to keep things kept privately between their patients which means they by law cannot tell her mom this information, and besides a gynecologist can't tell whether or not you are a virgin the only indication would be if the hymen was there or not but even that isn't a clear indication of whether or not you are a virgin. I think your girlfriend is old enough to go to the Doctor without her mom, at the least she can sit out in the waiting room. I think that it is wise to wait to get on birth control before you become sexually active.

A gynocologist can determine if the hymen is intact or not and that can indicate whether someone is a virgin or not.

As for the doctor telling her mother the status, most doctors will not divulge that information but if the mom is going to be in the examining room, it may become known information.

If your friend tells the doctor that she wants all of her personal health information to remain private from her mother, then the doctor must do that. When she gets to the office, she will be asked to sign a document known as a Privacy Practice Notice - this will make clear to her exactly who is entitled to have access to her personal health info. She needs to read it and amend it if needed with any neccessary changes.

The gynecologist can tell whether the girl's hymen is intact or not. Generally a ruptured hymen means the girl is no longer a virgin but there are other events beside sex that can cause a ruptured hymen. First of all birth control is a good idea when you have sex and second of all if the girl can't talk openly with her mom about having sex then she's probably too young to have it. Have you considered waiting?

A gynecologist can see if the hymen is still in tact, which is sometimes an indication of virginity. The problem today is, the hymen can be broken in many different ways including various sports, masturbation, tampon use. Some girls don't even have one to begin with.

In some countries, it is still used as a symbol of virginity because women are supposed to bleed on their wedding night. If they don't they are accused of having pre-marital sex, which is a sin, but completely ridiculous in my opinion. It's a very poor way to tell if someone is a virgin.

The gynecologist can tell, but whether or not they will inform the parents of the girl depends on the laws of that state.
In some states, they are required to tell the parents of any girl under 18, 16 or 15 (depending on the state). In some states, the information remains in confidence between the gynecologist and the patient.

The doctor can tell if her hymen is ruptured. But that is not a 100% tell all for virginity anymore. Women rupture there hymens playing sports and horseback riding, too.

As for her being worried about telling her Mom. She should be covered by doctor patient privilege. So as long as her Mom is not in the examination room, she should be fine.

No. Nowadays due to the physical activities of women the hymen may be perforated by accident.

You must be very "young" and uneducated to ask such a question!

But since you have access to the internet and educate yourself, I give you NO credit!

You have "a girlfriend"...... and YOU cannot give her the answers!

Shame on YOU!
