Well there's a lot of things you can do:

*Sleep get good rest alway help to put thing on perspective
*Get a Cholotale (not good for the diet though) it's been probe that chocolate relesses one chemical substance that make's you feel happy and has a lot of anti-oxidants (you won't get old, that's good reason to be happy, isn't it?)
*Go see Your friends and do spudid and vanish things...
*Get you'r self spa day...
*Get a nice hugh from some one you love and hang out togeter

Get out and about. Go for a walk. Meet a friend for lunch or for drinks.

If I'm too down to want to leave the house I watch Grease and sing along to all the songs and drool over the lovely Kenickie.

Another possibility - and I have to be in the right mood for this one - is to do some horrible task that I've been putting off for ages e.g. cleaning the bog, on the grounds that I'd be feeling rotten anyway so I might as well have something to show for it. This also works for hangovers.

If all else fails, McVities do Jaffa cakes in packets of 36 (and sportsmen have them during training meaning they're practically a health food, right?). If a few handfuls of those don't cheer you up then you're beyond help.

Put on my Britney Spears album(I'm 27 it's shameful isn't it?) and mime to the songs in the mirror. I find that putting my hair dryer on cool shot makes a pretty good wind machine. Oh how I wish I was lying!

i go do something i like doing! :)
or i take a good hard long look at myself think why am i down, realise what i have, and realise there are people who are worse off , so i have no need to be down and things will get better! :)
if you sit around, do nothing and mope about it, you will get worse, and more depressed!

I listen to some really depressing but nice easy music, and then work my way up to something more upbeat - does the trick!
eg Coldplay -> snow patrol -> toploader
:)

I excercise because the resulting endomorphins released by my body are a natural upper.
