[...Before 1917 some Zionist leaders took seriously proposals for Jewish homelands in places other than Palestine. Herzl's Der Judenstaat argued for a Jewish state in either Palestine, "our ever-memorable historic home", or Argentina, "one of the most fertile countries in the world". In 1903 British cabinet ministers suggested the British Uganda Program, land for a Jewish state in "Uganda" (in today's Kenya). Herzl initially rejected the idea, preferring Palestine, but after the April 1903 Kishinev pogrom Herzl introduced a controversial proposal to the Sixth Zionist Congress to investigate the offer as a temporary measure ...]

wow, actually I thought it was just a lie, but that is interesting and funny at the same time. They wanted to take over Argentine just because of the land, they would be surrounded by Latinos who arent even close to their heritage, they have no history there. then they are here claiming its theirs because of history, but obviously they didnt consult the Torah when they were thinking of Argentina. I doubt they took Palestine just becaue of the history, but it would be easier to back up their crimes agains humanity saying they have history there so it wuld make more sense than Argentina.

Never heard that one before. Got a link?

edit: thx. I knew about Uganda, but I never knew Argentina was an option. Jews have no religious connection to either of these regions, only to the Holy Land.

Ironically, if the Zionists had established a nation in Argentina or Uganda, it would be South American and African terrorists trying to destroy Israel and slaughter Jews instead of Arab terrorists, and the world would sympathize with them rather than Arabs, so what's the difference?

Yes, I know this. Every time I hear this fact I burst into laughter! We hear them today talking about their historical land while they were about to establish their state in a country which they have now ties with! I think they care more about the lands more than anything. I heard that they wanted to have their state in Ugana too.

Do I care?

EDIT: Thank you, I will. (Personal Opinion) "Did you know" questions are dumb, and since they don't need answers why put them on Yahoo! Answers?

Sure, still have the same opinion though.
