I see alot of questions about how unhappy people are but is there anyone here in a great relationship or marriage? After going through heck and back my husband and I are finally at a great place and I just wanted to know if there were others who have been through all this relationship crud only to come out on the other side victorious.

YES, HELLO WE ARE HERE! MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE BEEN THROUGH AN AWFUL AMOUNT OF SH*T. MOST OF IT FAMILY STUFF. WE HAVE STAYED GROUNDED THROUGH IT ALL, STILL ONGOING, I THINK THE MOST IMPORTANT THING THAT HAS HELPED US IS BEING THERE TO TALK OR JUST BEING THERE IS VERY HELPFUL AT TIMES. WE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN 'HAPPY'. IT DOESN'T JUST HAPPEN AS YOU ARE PROBABLY PAINFULLY AWARE OF....IT TAKES A LOT OF EFFORT AND WORK TO KEEP A GOOD RELATIONSHIP GOING. I AM TRULY HAPPY TO HEAR THAT YOU AND HUSBAND ARE IN A GOOD PLACE. =)

I have! when my husband and I first started dating after 7 years of being platonic acquaintances. He was falsely accused of a crime and had to endure prision for 2 years. he has now since been released and is pending a lawsuit against the state but knowing that we were in a brand new relationship and then torn apart that simple. It was devastating. but through it all we held one, times did get hard but we prevailed and we respect and love each other that much more. When you and your love one go through tough times that can do 1 of 2 things 1. break you apart or 2. cement your relationship. We are very happy and continue to be blessed. It took all of that to really get to know one another. I am grateful even through rocky times.

You are the only one that can control your life, you can chose to be happy or not. We all have bad days, and at times the ones we love will say or do something to make you really mad, but when that happens the best thing to do is go somewhere alone, even if it is only the back yard, bathroom, or where ever, just sit down and ask God to help you get thur this moment, talk to God like you do your best friend, you will soon fine peace and happiness once again

Yeah, Stacy, we're pretty happy.

I don't think that we've been through anything real terrible. Things got a bit tense at times, but we managed to work through it all. One just needs the emotional maturity to do that. And I suppose you can't rule out luck (both good and bad) in any situation, either.

I tell people that marriage is "worth it," but that's sort of like trying to explain the relative value of anything. For example, a jeweler might show me a totally beautiful, expensive diamond, but the rock has no real value for me. See what I mean?

Nothing of real value in this life comes totally easy; it requires effort and discipline.

Yep. i've got had an spectacular occupation, invested properly, retired in my 40's and am now in a position to commute around the international with my husband. I stay in 2 large places, have sturdy acquaintances, am healthful and am madly in love with existence. there is a lot to love approximately existence that i won't be in a position to think of anybody being unhappy ongoing.

I am happy. I was once in a terrible relationship for 5 yrs and now I am with a great man who is my fiance and we are expecting a baby any day now. I guess happiness really does exist for those who want it bad enough. Thanks for asking!

Yes. We had some problems (interfering in-laws and a troublesome teen) but I've never been happier in my life. Married 18 years.
