If my apartment is a mess, what does that tell me about myself?

Anything wrong with my self-worth? lazy? procrastination? What is the real reason behind having a messy apartment and car?

I dont think there is anything wrong with your self worth, or being lazy. I am sure alot of it has to do with making priorities in your life, and keeping a clean apartment is down on the list. I am sure if you are having guests over, you make a great effort to clean the car, or apartment. For me, I know I have a messy apartment, I dont consider myself lazy, and have a lot of pride I have been working on average 70-75 hours a week for the past few months, and when I am off work, I would rather focus on hobbies, fitness, or other things, rather than cleaning up my place. When I do have guests come over, I roll up my sleeves and make a great effort to clean my place up, and most people have commented that I have a really clean place when they see it. In summary, I think your priorities are focusing on outside activities in your life rather than keeping your place spotless.

Lazy, not motivated, not caring, unorganized, should I go on. That goes for a car too. In an interview, the "boss" should walk someone to their car to find out what kind of personality they have. This tells alot about a person. The HOUSE is the same way.

it depends on what you do all day. if you work everyday then i can see how your house can become a little unorganized. if you are sitting around watching tv all day then you might call that being a little lazy. maybe you are not used to living on your own yet and your mom used to clean after you. whatever the problem may be wont you try this. each day when you wake up make your bed and pick up your clothes from yesterday. try to clean your kitchen as you cook and as you use dishes, don't let dishes pile up. when you leave to go outside, take the garbage with you and lets see how that works for a few weeks

my old land lord never liked it when he went to the flat to find them tidy, thought it meant that the person living in it spent to much time at home tidying. so keep it messy so long as there's no food lying round cos that's gross

maybe its because its the way you want it to be,the problem is you have to be with someone who could appreciate your lifestyle....or perhaps you are too occuppied of so many things..
