didn't she say anytjing abt it yet?
then u better ask her if she can pay for it some way-don't hesitate.if she says she can't, politely, then suggest her to baby sit or take doggys 4 a walk or someway get a job so that it would also help her make a living, & if she gets one, make an agreement that she will pay 4 it out of her salary on instalments.
if she says she's not gonna pay 4 it or if u find this process lengthy, then just keep borrowing her things & never return them until they sum up 4 ur car...or just forgive her 4 once & forget it all.

If YOU don't have a copy of the police report, get one right away. If it wasn't investigated, report it to the police immediately. Without that paper, your friend was never driving your car and you crashed it yourself. (and if anyone sues you, YOU pay for the property damage. Some trees are worth several thousand dollars. How about towing costs? impound payments? There can be several thousand dollars of costs and fees not yet in your mailbox that YOU are responsible for without the police report.
As a matter of your own peace of mind, you may need to let it go... sh** happens. If it wasn't her, it might have been you. Also be thankful that no matter how mad you are at her, that she is OK and not dead! Thank god she didn't kill anyone or mow down a baby in a stroller. Thank god she isn't sueing YOU! (It was your car and in most states, you are liable for any damage caused by it)
Like Ben Franklin said: Neither a borrower nor a lender be...
(I have had cars fixed, and they are never the same again after a wreck, and you are better off NOT fixing it and getting another anyway.)

This is an unfortunate situation. But if your 'friend' isn't even trying to be responsible for her accident, there's probably nothing you can do. This kind of person has no conscience, and if old enough to drive, should be making some kind of attempt to get work. My opinion is do what you can for transportation and go on with your life. She will more than likely end up bumming off of people the rest of her life. After all, it's always easier to get through life when someone else pays the bill. Sorry to sound so mean, but, been there---done that.

Your car - your insurance. Your insurance should defend you in the lawsuit, unless they refuse to pay because your friend was driving. Whether your friend has insurance or not doesn't matter. Ultimately you are responsible as the registered owner of the vehicle.

if its a cheap car under 10 g's or 5 g's i think it is take her to small claims court. Tell her to pay you back or to find out a way to pay you back. If she doesn't take it to court. Of course i hope you have some kind of proof she did that to your car. Maybe a witness or something or somebody that heard her say she recked it.

I would be careful if I were you.
If she is not insured to drive your car you could be open to legal action if the crash involved anyone else.
But there's nothing you can do to force her to pay anything, you took the risk on yourself when you loaned her the car

If she announces that she won't pay you back then...Take her to court! (and to the first answer those are both small claims courts, the car may be worth more than 5,000 which is the max. you can get there)

realistically how much money can you get out a of a person not working? Take an expensive lesson about letting losers drive your car. If you didn't have it insured youre out of luck.

take her to court. If you can't get her to pay maybe the courts will.
or else...what is the point if you say your car is not worth fixing?
