Yes this is very normal and very wise and caring of her. You can tell alot about a persons character,values..etc by knowing their parents and their upbringing. Whether you realize it or not, when you date someone you are also dating their family.The same will be true when you get married someday...you not only marry your spouse, but the whole family that comes with them and that affects your life in a great way.
bottom line..your mom is doing the right thing.

It is normal, im 15 and i was in one serious relationship for about a year and my mom wanted to talk to his parents.

15, huh? Your lucky she cares enough to check up on him. At your age, you are not too experienced at judging character. She may see something in him that you may not. Don't fret over you Mom wanting to meet his parents. She is just trying to get a feel on how far to trust him with you because you must be pretty special to her. If you were my daughter, he would get the "How to treat my daughter talk while I clean my shotgun" talk.

there is nothing wrong with it, i think your mom is concerned for you. You must be thankful for it is a sign that your mom loves you. She probably wants to see if your boyfriend will be a good influence or a bad one. And if your mom thinks it is a bad one you better think of it girl. have you heard of the saying about mother's intuition?? better think about it.

I think it is very caring of your mom, she is just making sure you are safe, it probably feels daggy to you, which is understandable, but i think it is very responsible of your mother, be proud, some kids have parents that dont even care......your blessed, best wishes i hope she likes your bf & his family!!

lol you poor thing but I'm sorry that's the way it goes she just wants to make sure your gonna be OK out with this lad and the older you get the worse it will be my mum was terrible lol x

I think if your parents want to meet his parents it would be OK as long as he likes you in case of parental embarrassment.
