Marketing concerns the movement of goods and services from the producer to the consumer. It consists of 8 specific functions buying, selling, storing, transporting, standardizing and grading, financing, risk taking and information gathering.
Since a products success depends on satisfying a customers needs, marketing management must determine the characteristics of the market, select a target market, and determine the best product design, price, promotion and distribution channels.

The Finance degree will get you more money and more work opportunities. I have a similar degree, with another in communications. Although I have a decent paying job, it's not one I like...I sometimes wonder what kind of a life I would have if I pursued a degree that I enjoyed....hmmm....perhaps less money, but would I be happier? Take this into consideration when deciding your major.
