Never had a problem.
Did you possibly download it from a third party site? Always get it straight from the source.

I use Firefox and find it is great!
You should have a good anti-virus software loaded and an anti-spyware software like Spybot or Spysweeper. Any problems that came with downloads were caught by those programs.
Firefox is just the browser, same as IE or Maxthon. The trojans come from other sites that you are downloading from.
I say download Firefox and Enjoy!

You get viruses from downloads for one of two reasons:
1)You do not have an anti-virus program or are running an out of date version. it;s sad how many people think they are protected by the anti-virus software that came on their PCs. These are trial versions and cease to update somewheres between 60 and 90 days. That means after this expirey, you are not fully protected as there are constantly new exploits on the web. If you cannot afford to purchase one, AVG is available for free download here.... http://www.grisoft.com/doc/1 Spyware protection is just as important as well. If you cannot afford to purchase one, Spybot - search and destroy is available for free download here... http://www.spybot.info/en/mirrors/index.html
2)When you download a program you should ALWAYS manually scan it before you run it. Even the best Paid For anti-virus programs do not catch an imbedded virus on download. Manual scan is there for a reason.
To download Firefox without fear:
* Use the official site or a known reputable download site.
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
http://www.filehippo.com/download_firefox/
* Scan the downloaded file with A/V software.
* When installing, always use the custom mode. Even reputable and well known safe software may install extra third party programs (like google toolbar) that you probally don't want.
have fun downloading. Be safe.

The virus was not caused by FFX. It was hidden in the download from the website you visited. You should be using anti-virus software that might have caught the hidden (trojan) virus during the download. I doubt it was from Firefox.

No, my computer's working just fine. I think that you may have downloaded it from an unreliable site which had put the corrupted stuff in it. If you've still got problems download it from their own site or from:
http://www.download.com/
P.S: They'll also offer you about 10 cool add-ons. Good Luck!

Nope. Always download Firefox software from the source site (Mozilla) and it should be clean.

If you download the file from the developers website it should be fine. You should always check downloaded files before running them.

Nope.
Has nothing to do with Firefox and more to do with poor judgment while using it.
Unless you downloaded it at a site that wasn't mozilla.com
