If you also have a highspeed Internet connection then you definately need a router. If you are just networking two machines and not using the Internet then a switch can be used. A router is about $40, a switch is about $10.

Ya need a wireless router. Get a Lynksys or Netgear. They are both inexpensive and efficient.

If you want to share files and use the internet through one so theirs less cables then get a wireless router and a usb wireless reciever.

Router was of time and setup. Just buy SWITCH no configuration required.
