I believe that the rolling stomes are the best successful group in the world and they have stayed together for over 40 years.

The Beatles. They have more success than The Rolling Stones, and they're not even together anymore. The Rolling Stones are cool too though.

I was brought up around the Beatles when I was a little kid so I'll have to say-- The Beatles. I love the Rolling Stones though! I don't think you can really compare those two bands as "the best" because they are great in their own ways...

Based on longevity and continuing music, the fact that their last two tours broke $ records, and they are still a working band, I'd have to say the Rolling Stones, the World's Greatest Rock 'n Roll Band. The Beatles may have been able to beat them, but threw in the towel after only a few years.

It depends on what you mean by "successful." If you're talking strictly about money, then the Stones win hands down. They're still going strong nearly forty years after the Beatles broke up. If you mean quality of work and how beloved they were by fans, I'd vote for the Beatles. They went from playing a strip club in Hamburg to being beloved icons in four or five years.

Beatles by far...they recorded together for less than a decade and had more of an impact on popular music than any other act. I love the stones...but they just dont compare to the beatles...espeaicly in terms in songwritters. Lennon-McCartnye is the best songwriting team ever. Plus the Beatles has a very eccetic sound, partly because they had more than one lead singer. Listen to how varried the white album is from Hard Rockers like helter skelter and Me & My Monkey to soft ballads like Julia and Blakbird...that is true genuis

I know it's only Rock-n-Roll but I like it like it yes I do. Rollin Stones for sure. They're still rockin and in my opinion The Beatles didn't play much Rock-n-Roll. Yellow Submarine? Octopus's' Garden in the Shade? Okay they had Revolution and Back From the USSR.but I couldn't stand Beatles music You couldn't dance to most of it. To me that's not Rock-n-Roll
