1) A

Vegetable oils are usually 100% fat. Animal products, protein and cereal have far less of the harmful fats. So you want to REDUCE your intake of vegetable oils...even some of the "good" oils, like peanut or olive, are not that good.

2) B

It would take much longer than 3-5 hrs to replace a 3% water loss. Ingesting food during exercise would not increase water absorption. On the contrary, it would need more water to help digestion. Imagine eating something with no liquid to follow! Finally, thirst indicates you are already dehydrated. Therefore, B is true--you need to replace water before, during and after exercise.

3) C

You'll probably need less calories as you age. Not all drugs should be taken with food. Some require an empty stomach. And diuretics may only apply to some elderly folks. Clearly, C is correct. As you age, you need to supplement your nutrition intake as your bones start to deteriorate etc.

4) B.

You can go a whole day without having any feces. If you urinate, you are losing water, but that's not constant. You may or may not perspire. All of us breathe, and lose valuable moisture in each breath. Ever see how that works on a window?

Hope that helped.
