Hi,

Since I haven't seen any people walking around who are purple -- from eating excessive purple cabbage, etc., -- I really doubt this!

Skin color has to do with melanin, a skin protective device mostly designed for the effects of the sun. It is genetic, which is why those originating close to the equator are more likely to have more melanin and be thus darker.

And also, while I've seen people green with envy, they don't necessarily have green eyes or skin. So eat as many peas as you want.

Sorry, no chance of changing skin color via food intake.

No, no necessasarily. The one food that do alter your skin tone would be carrots. You have to eat a lot of them though. Many younger kids look "orange" because carrots are their favorite food. It does not harm you just looks strange.
