The qualifications for any Government positions are:
1. Faithfulness to the job entrusted and co-beings
2. Basic educational qualification for the specific job
3. A mind that does not longs for undeserved benefits
4. A mind that is brave enough to fulfil the job entrusted
5. A mind that evolves around justice in all his/her actions.
If you can identify the pearls with these qualities and give them the future jobs, there will not be any backward people in India within the next 10 years.
Through reservation you cannot find them. Through the present tests (exams) you cannot find them.
The present reservation policy is a way to please some casts and the results are inefficient and unfaithful workforce to create more and more backward people.

1> Beggars are considered as backward people. Hence the Indian government enforced the policy of coloured ration cards. So that families with low income group could get the maximum benefit out of the rations distribution policy. However people of higher income group showed lower incomes, bribed the officers and managed to get low income group ration cards for them. As a result, government is bearing loss with the policy.
Secondly, if you actually ask survey those groups of beggars with regards to caste and creed, you will find that most of them belong to caste already in the reservation quota.
2> Thieves cannot be considered as backward group. They are criminals and will remain criminals. Showing sympathy towards criminals will encourage more cirminal activities instead. Most of the steal don't steal because they don't have money to make their living. They steal because they have flaundered all their money and they are in need for more.
3> Robbers and thieves - what's the difference.
4> Housewives cannot be considered backward. A person cannot be considered backward for his/her relations in the family. While we are talking about considering people backward, we must understand they need support to take care of their family and not themselves as an individuals.
5> Why are yo uso supportive towards anti-social elements. They are worse than thieves and robbers. They don't just do it for money but also for their hunger for power. Imagine your self in a ticket counter and a goonda has the job of vending the tickets. Will he honestly perform his duty?
6> Other people who don't have anything - anything means what? Reservations and should be available for people wh oare not able to cope up with their basic needs inspite of their skills. Reservation in the education system is a must as young talents who cannot afford to enhance their skills should get equal opportunity. Reservations in employment system is a must as these very people should get an equal opportunity to improve their family status.
But the picture here is different. Most of the open class Indians are against reservation as they feel it's unjust to them. I think it's bout time we should realize that the system is not unjust, the people upon whom the law is enforced are unjust. No these are not the people who come under the reservations group but the people who run the institutions and the HR department of government offices.
People who run educational institutions would not let anybody in without donations. neither the open class nor the reservation class. If I am one of the open class person and apply for a degree programme in some 'xyz' instituion, all I get to hear is seats are full and I'll have to go for management seats. here I would assume that the seats are full due to reservation quota. If I belong to a reservation group, they would tell still ask me to go for management seats and say that I'll have to pay less because of the reservation policy. Also I'll have no idea about what is the average donation they are selling the seats for.
The fact is that we don't have any idea as to how many seats are opccupied. These institutions never declare about the total no. of setas they can accommodate and also they would never declare out openly the percentge of open seats and reservation seats occupied in their institutions. Since we don't have the statistics, we don't know about the correct picture.
About reservations in employment. No matter what class or caste you are from, the system has a criteria for every vacancy. It's just that the reservation quota gets some relief in the criteria. It doesn't matter that out of a hundred seats, 35 are reserved. The open class is left out with 65 seats. And when you actually suvery the percentage of reservation class people in India, it's more that 50 percent.
I'll tell you how? There are reservations for women right, for minority communities, for SC's, for ST's, for OBC's, for families of government employees, etc. The minorites community percentage itself would account up to more than 15% of the Indian population.

I am totally against this communal reservation. After 60 years of the independence why we are giving backward reservation. If they cannot come forward it is useless. Now we have to remove the poverty, for that I support economical reservation. Let us keep the poverty away from the country.
