If this is true, then why are some churches allowed to keep their tax-exempt status while they continue this discriminatory practice?

I don't think there are any anti-discrimination laws tied to tax-exempt status.

No. Tax exempt status can apply to many organizations. They do not have to be charities. Churches are not charities. Colleges are not charities.
Sexual discrimination in the work place is illegal. But, cases have to be pursued by individuals, on an individual basis. In such a case, the tax-exempt status is not an issue.

Yes they could lose their tax exempt status, but tax exemption organizations can be orgainized ORIGINALLY for only men or women (YMCA/YWCA) and that's fine. If they discriminate after they are organized, their exempt status could be in jeopardy. Some churches have lost their tax exempt status for promoting political candidates, also.

It's called Freedom of Religion. Freedom of Religion is a cornerstone of our constitution and in the Bill of Rights. It is clearly defined and protected. Your example of women in places of management fall into the affirmative action era. Your argument is based upon economic stand points while the other is to recognize the rights of religion to be free from government intrusion.
If the person not understanding why the women is not allowed to be part of a certain class of a religious group is unsatisfied with that particular religion...then find a new religion.

Yes because discrimination is prohibit by the law. The government should manage and monitor more effectively non-profit organizations to prevent scandals and restore confidence in citizens when they participate through these governmental agents, http://www.voteprimous.com

I'm sure its only the minority groups that would get away with it. The mainstream groups (majority) would be pilloried by the hairy leg brigades and the weak politicians would join in.
