3.6 miles but you can hop on the monorail at the Excalibur and save about 1/3 mile.
You can also hop on the Deuce (Bus) and ride for $5 for a 24 hour period. This is good anywhere on the strip and out to Fremont St. as well.

Wow, It is a very long walk through crowds. The Stratosphere is at the extreme North end of the strip and Luxor is practically at the other southend between Excaliber and Mandalay Bay.

I actually did the walk back in 2002. I think its about 3 miles one way. I would advise taking a cab or riding the bus, unless you want to make a day of it.

It's a very long walk. Unless you are a fitness fanatic with very comfortable walking shoes a taxi will get you there a lot faster and without blisters. ;)

It's about 3-5 miles... But it can feel like a hundred miles on a hot or crowded day.

I just did that walk a few weeks ago...took about an hour. We did take our time a bit though, but it is quite a walk!
