Samsung E900 - Anyone know if you can change setting so when sending text you get name of person not number?

Whenever I go to send text message or reply to a message, it just shows number you are sending it to not name, is it possible to have contact name appear, it is really fustrating.....please help anyone

if you press down, so the number is not highlighted it becomes the name.

Only if the sender is in your contacts list
