I think prostitution should probably be legalized, with STD testing and other such analyses done to keep it safe. I don't think sex in itself is so immoral. That said, it really depends on the culture; certain cultures would say yes, certain ones would say no. The Netherlands has legalized prostitution, for example.

it is wrong. But when you see from the other side it is we who just don't let them live even if they want to leave that profession the society doesn't allow them to live. There are many people in this profession b'coz they have to earn bread for their family.A society which is free of corruption which financially help this people involve them in a small scale business like papad, pickle, toy making, masala etc.where they can be made feel that they can live a better life, where they can share their problems, they can be counselled. The largest company in India which is is top position which is run by women is LIJJAT.We can also start a small scale industry by involving prostitutes to make their life better and to stop them from going on the wrong way.
But today youngsters get into that profession so that they don't have to ask for money from their parents so that don't have to give explanation for every penny spend so that they can lavishly spent and make others feel around them that they are a rich brat.

If it is legalised in our country it is not. But such earning should not be a burden for the nation and its society as a whole by way of population increase and diseases. Afteral a;; are trades only. But there will not be human values left.
As such it is better to do away with such type of earnings.

I can't believe that two humans can have sex without any feelings, just for sexual satisfaction, what the difference between humans and animals (also not all species of animals). I assume that any girl go in this direction, will not have peace with herself. Lot of them have bad endings, lot of them face dangerous situation every day, for what reason? money, there must be another ways for earning money. Some of them of course have been forced for prostitution, this should be the job of governments to stop this UN-human trade (kidnapping girls and pushing them towards this way).

My opinion on this is no. In fact if prostitution was legal the government could tax it and use it for funding good programs for underpriviledged children.

And if it were legalized we wouldn't have the problem of all these women exploited my their gigolos or whatever they are called. And so long as the people who want to become prostitudes and are of legal age, and follow the law and get tested regularly, what's the problem?

Its not a profession by choice for most of them so we can't really define it as wrong because it could be the only way of survival for many of them who are into it, the best way to eradicate is to empower them, accept them and bring them back to the mainstream of the society

depends on your beliefs-
religiously- most would say yes
legally- depends where you are
personally- no, its his/her body.

legalized brothels have have strict regulations on health and the workers are not mistreated- they are protected, unlike girls on the street from crazy clients. they are paid fairly as well.
