Read about Indonesia's ban on sand... And from what i read, it's the ban on concreting sand?

How about sand for beaches? Are the sand used for beaches and golf courses the same type of sand? If the sand are different, then where do sand for beaches and golf courses come from? The sand are finer than the concreting sand i think? Found this topic interesting :)

Golf courses are a waste of space. Please remember that. As for beaches, well real beaches just have their own sand. But I've thought about the sands of the Sahara. What can they be used for? Maybe someone knows about the qualities of desert sand.

Golf is a great game and sand supplies must be safeguarded to keep our bunkers full!

Thanks for the warning regarding this vital golfing resource.
