banana plants do not grow from seeds they are propogated from suckers that spring up around a full grown or bearing plant,the more popular method now is to grow tissue culture plants.High yeild would be a plant that bears a bunch with a large number of well developed banans,a given plant bears just one bunch,& it is cut down after the fruit has been harvested.
