Yes, if you have just had a dream which you subconsciously found funny your body will react by laughing. You probably woke up because you were laughing. This is perfectly normal so is waking up crying.

no, i can't say that i remember doing that! this morning at 2 i got woke up by a raccoon fight in a tree, a more horrible sound you've never heard. my dogs were in here going nuts. i went out to see a young coon getting attacked by a big coon in a tree across the street so i got my hose and stumbled over there with it and tried spraying them apart. it worked for a short time them the screams started up again and i've been out there ever since trying to help that little guy get away. now it's almost 5:30 and i'm finally inside, i'm tired. i wish i woulda had a dream instead, LOL!

don't think it's normal in the way that most people don't wake up laughing hysterically but don't think it's anything to worry about - sounds like a lovely way to wake up! x

Its better than waking up crying. You must of had a funny dream. I would say that its normal unless you do it numerous times throughout the night.

I often wake up crying...
Don't worry 'bout laughing, I don't worry 'bout crying, I think it just depends on dreams...
