ALL THE TIME!!!!!! i permanently have tunes stuck in my head and when i try gettin rid of it, for some reason i end up with nelly the elephant there instead!! i have no idea why though!!!

it really annoys other people i work with though coz they always totally random songs which they dont know but they get stuck in their heads too!!

its so easy to get a song in my head, all my brother has to do is say a line out of a song to me and boom, its there for days!!!

he was really mean, when 9/11 happened i felt awful coz my brother got 'its the end of the world as we know it' by REM stuck in my head, i tried not goin out the house til it went coz i tend to sing out loud all the time and i didnt wanna offend anyone!!! felt so bad!!!!

I get the song in the head thing too. I had Loveshack by the B52's for about 3 weeks when it was a hit. That was bad. Currently I've had Mika and Fall Out Boy. The catchier the tune, the more likely i seem to fall prey!

I play a little game in my office, without mentioning anything to anyone around i will hum or perhaps sing a tune quietly it could be from an old tv theme or a current chart song & guaranteed within a few minutes various collegues will be humming or singing to themselves as well & very often that tune is being hummed & sung on & off all day long,so dont worry, you're not alone.

Pretty much every day. It's one of the worst things except maybe cramp. I find it's normally the last song I heard either on an advert (they're the worst) or on the radio. Sometimes it's from what other people are singing along to, and other times just reading words in a newspaper or on an advert can set me off.

The worst one though? The Muppets: ma-na-ma-na, do doo do do-do, ma-na-ma-na, do do-do do

And I have no idea how to get rid of them. Except listen to more music... Soz. :o(

Everyday.Whatever song i hear first on the radio in the car is the song that gets stuck in my head for the rest of the day.

Only when it is the most catchy annoying song on the planet ever written. Like Hit me Baby (One More Time) by Brittney Spears. I hate her. I hate the song. I know All the lyrics. And it shames me. It is way worse when you have it stuck in your head.

Everyday. When I do get a particularly annoying one, I start singing a different one out loud. It usually helps. But sometimes I just get the tune, and don't know the words, so I go around humming it all day.

That happens to me every couple of weeks. Sometimes I will learn the lyrics, and sing it in karaoke or along with a recording to get it out of my head. I have also heard of, and had success with humming the tune to "The Girl from Ipanema."
If you are not familiar with the tune, look for the Sergio Mendez version (instrumental.) "Ipanema" will only work if you hum the tune. If you sing the words, you not be able to get rid of it.
