STEP 1: Park your car on a level surface with the front facing toward a wall or garage door. STEP 2: Find the adjustment screws. The screws are located on different places on different models, but they are frequently on the side and on the bottom of the headlamps. On many models, there will be smaller screws that hold the headlight into the assembly, and two larger screws for horizontal and vertical adjustments. Some cars may only have one screw for both the vertical and horizontal adjustment. STEP 3: Turn the headlights on. STEP 4: Make note of the light they cast on the wall or garage door. They should be facing evenly straight ahead. STEP 5: Loosen or tighten the adjustment screws slightly with a screwdriver to lower or raise the beam. STEP 6: Repeat with the other headlight. STEP 7: Turn the high beams on and repeat if your car has a four-headlight system (two high beams and two low beams).

This is almost impossible to do. I have tried it and it never seems to work because the ground is always curved or sloping and throws off the whole attempt.
What you do is to pull up to the wall as close as you can with your headlights on. Take a couple of pieces of masking tape and stick them on the wall right in the center of the bright spots. Then back up about 10-20 feet and see if the light spots are in the same place.

It's almost impossible to find a level area thats flat enough for this to work properly.

park car about 12 feet away from the wall measure to the center of your headlamps then with high beams on adjust headlamps so they shine to the same height to the center of the beam and adjust the side to side a little to the right so they will not shine in on coming cars and blind the driver (if your car has side adjustment). when you check the low beams the should shine lower than high beams good luck

I just set the car about 3 feet from the wall and set the lights so the upper beam edge is level with the bonnet and not pointing towards the on coming traffic.

I had similar problem and would sugggest to save time and to make sure they are aligned bring it to a mechanic. Cost practically nothing. Or if by yourself have a blank wall 25 feet from front of car. Put masking tape vertically on the wall in reference to the centerline of both headlights then position a horizontal tape in reference to the centerline of the
two headlights. toldyou it is eaier to bring to a mechanic. hope this helps.

Ask a garage to do it for you. The only way to get it right is with an aligner.
