I'm an IT Contract & I'm aware of the unsecure nature of the work. However I was recently offered a contract by an organisation & my agency & myself signed all the relevant contracts.I assume the contract is between the agency & myself. The organisation who I would be working at then pulled out & the job fell through. This is after I turned down work elsewhere.Do I have any form of case to take the organisation due to employ me to court? Or is the fact I was going through an agency something that means I have no recourse?

Basically can I sue them for earnings I should have earned? And lost income through other work?

It depends on where you are located and the terms of the contract.

You'd only be able to sue whomever you had a contract with (most likely the agency.)

You can pretty much sue any one for anything .
If they signed a contract with you and pulled out for no good reason like bankruptcy and they didn't have a grace period to bough out (which I think most contracts do ) if they did not go past that time then I would think you could sue .But check on that grace period .
Hope this helps .

Your relationship is between you and your agency. Only the agency has the right to ask for retribution. As a contractor you have no rights in this regard. That is why you are compensated more.
