Was just thinking that having a touchscreen on my desktop/laptop may far reduce the risk of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

Is this idea feasible?

The biggest draw back of touchscreen monitors is the cost. Think TV versus HDTV. A typical LCD monitor can be had for under $150.00 http://www.geeks.com or http://www.pricewatch.com Whereas a touchscreen monitor starts at around $1200 for the same size http://www.pricewatch.com Sure they are nice, but really it wouldn't help from CTS because you would always be reaching in the same direction, which CTS is moving in the same movements continually for too long. panasonic has a touchscreen on its toughbooks and you can buy a touchscreen for your desktop beware it works thru the mouseport tho

Yes. They're called Tablet PCs.

They're not common because they're a bit more expensive.
