No question, it's Greg Maddux. Winner of 16 Gold Gloves tied for first all time with Jim Kaat who won 16 Gold Gloves in a row (14 American League, 2 National League).

Jim Kaat in the American League.

Greg Maddux in the National League.

Both are tied for the record of Golden Gloves, 16. The Golden Glove award is given to the pitcher with the best fielding PCT.

Kenny Rogers before that whole incident with the camera guy. Sorry didn't see the national league thing. It would have to be Greg Maddux.

In the NL only, Gregg Maddux.

Overall, at least according to the opposing managers and coaches (they are the voters for the Gold Glove awards), he's second only to Jim Kaat, but Kaat pitched in both leagues.

Going back a bit farther, Bobby Shantz was no slouch, either.

Yes, fielding stats are included in these links.

Jim Kaat.
Maddux and Kaat are tied for the number of gold gloves garnered by a pitcher but Kaat made spectacular plays and he made them look easy.

Mike Mussina. He's the one pitcher I've seen the most. Never makes a mistake. His delivery sets himself up to be ready to field.
