I'm fasinated by them and love to check them out. And yet I'm afraid of them. We have some really cool looking ones in Japan. and yes the horrid jumping spiders. I think I'm afraid of them because they sneak up on you and have these furry legs/body. then of course they bite. and those jumping ones just won't die gosh darnit.

Anything we don't understand or aren't familiar with scares us. It has 8 legs, it creeps, it isn't anything like us. If the spider could think, it would probably be a 100 times more scared of us than we of it.

because they are--hairy-come out mostly at night--can slip under your sheets and remain there a long time before ya know it---some bite----they have the ability to make the hair on the back of your neck stand on end, oh, wait a minute, thats men! don't know about spiders! how do ya like me now?

Some are deadly. Do you know which ones are and which ones aren't? I don't. Any spider that crawls on me is getting stomped on or brushed off fast.

I am scared of them also. I guess its because they are creepy and crawly. I am really scared of the big hairy ones and spiders that can jump. I am always afraid that one will jump on me. Ewwwwww!!

coz they bite and run really fast and the thought of them crawling on you is so disturbing, but ill take a spider over a big momma roach anyday

because their bites may sometimes infect you. we know that intuitively and it's also because they are creepy when crawling on us.
