If you live in a small town with a pop. of under 3000 people...?

does your town have any claim to fame or did anything news worthy happen in it? It could be more in population but not a major city in the US.

In my small town we only had two cars. The two richest families owned them. The town is on a small island in the meditteranean, a tiny island. Under 1000 pop. One day, these two cars crashed into each other in a head on collision! That sums up the character of the town I grew up in! LOL

My grade school friend Paul Miller of Richmond, IL (pop 1100) pitched pro ball for a while.
