Irgun, the stern gang, and a few others operated right before the Independence of the state of Israel.

once the Independence war broke out in 1948 all the groups disbanded and its fighters joined the newly formed Israeli defense forces.

Kahane Chai (Kach) is a group classified currently as a terrorist group by the United States state department.

Its stated goals are advocating the expulsion of all non-Jews out of the current territory of Israel.

though beyond protests and press reports the group as not committed any violent activity in the past 20 years or so.

Irgun and Lehi are now-defunct Jewish terrorist groups.

Don't really know why the modern media would want to talk about 60 or 70 years ago. Certainly, at the time of the various terrorist attacks, the British media had a field day. The United States at that time wasn't much interested in what happened in the rest of the world because they had their own problems (Great Depression, Dust Bowl...).

Kach and Kahane Chai.

"Two marginal Israeli groups that have used terrorism to pursue their goals of expanding Jewish rule across the West Bank and expelling the Palestinians. Both groups grew out of the anti-Arab teachings of Rabbi Meir Kahane, an American-born extremist who founded and led Kach (its name means “thus” in Hebrew) until he was assassinated inNew York in 1990. Israel outlawed Kach and its offshoot Kahane Chai (“Kahane Lives”) in 1994, a month after a Kach supporter shot and killed twenty-nine Muslim worshipers at a West Bankmosque. Experts say Kahanist leaders in Israelhave steered clear of terrorism recently in hopes of getting Israel to lift the ban on the two groups, but Israeli authorities continue to regard Jewish extremists as a potential terrorist threat. The State Department lists Kach and Kahane Chai as foreign terrorist organizations."

Back in the seminal days of Israel, the Irgun was notorious for killing civilian targets. Menachem Begin rose to prominence as the leader of this terrorist organization.

Kach and Kahane Chai are now outlaw organizations.

Irgun was a mainstream Zionist organization in its day.

The media doesn't talk about modern Zionist terrorist organizations because their operations have become relatively rare. The media doesn't talk about the terrorist component of Israel's modern history because any such criticism would promptly be labeled anti-Semitic no matter its technical accuracy.
