In fire fox they have various add ons which includes " AD- BLOCKER " which is brill. Does Internet explorer have anything similar

Yes you have in main menu>tools>pop upblocker, phishing & manage add-ons. Click to Enable/disable the oness you want or even you can go advanced setting and it will show you a window tih all addons in your pc, you can selct in the box show whseveral option sow it shows you all files, new controls, active x etc, possible new etc and you can tell it selecting the name of program and file there that you want and enable it or if its already enabled to disable it.

only with third party programs usually. if you like the features of firefox why not just use that. it is more secure than internet explorer and when there is an issue with security it is patched as soon as possible unlike internet explorer which has to wait until microsoft decide to release a batch of patches for the OS

I use Firefox.
Whenever I have to use Internet explorer (on someone else's computer) it drives me crazy! Especially the new version.
Oh and it doesnt block spamware and adware, but welcomes it.
Oh yeah, and one more thing. At Microdoft they like to know where in the internet you go....

if u get Internet explorer it doesn't really have ad blocker but u can download yahoo toolbar or google toolbar onto it and they have ad blocker

explorer just gives you lots of trackers and bad things, I never use it. Fire Fox is much safer.

You could try using the Opera browser instead

sure thing, IE has somthing called POP-BLOCKER, im using IE 6.0.29 and its already bundelled with it. Best of luck

stick with firefox. ie is cr@p
