Unfortunately yes, I had morning sickness from 6 weeks on.

Morning sickness can occur at any time of the day, though it occurs most often upon waking, because blood sugar levels are typically the most depressed after a night without food.

Morning sickness usually starts in the first month of the pregnancy, peaking in the fifth to seventh weeks, and continuing until the 14th to 16th week. For half of the sufferers, it ends by the 16th week of pregnancy. It may take the others up to another month to get relief. Some women suffer intermittent episodes throughout their pregnancy.

Treatments for morning sickness typically aim to lessen the symptoms of nausea, rather than attacking the root cause(s) of the nausea. Treatments include:

* Avoiding an empty stomach
* Eating five or six small meals per day, rather than three large ones
* Ginger, in capsules, tea, ginger ale, ginger beer or ginger snaps[4]
* Vitamin B6 (either pyridoxine or pyridoxamine), often taken in combination with the antihistamine doxylamine (Diclectin®).
* Lemons, particularly the smelling of freshly cut lemons
* Fulfilling food cravings
* Eating dry crackers in the morning.

A doctor may prescribe anti-nausea medications if the expectant mother suffers from dehydration or malnutrition as a result of her morning sickness. In the US, Zofran (ondansetron) is the usual drug of choice, though the high cost is prohibitive for some women; in the UK, older drugs with which there is a greater experience of use in pregnancy are preferred, with first choice being promethazine otherwise as second choice metoclopramide, or prochlorperazine.[5]

Sadly...yes! It is very normal! I have three kids and I got morning sickness with them all. Try to eat smaller meals and keep crackers with you where ever you go (regular saltines work best). I've also tried taking Emetrol. It's an over the counter medicine for nausea. Ask your OB GYN about it at your next visit. Sometimes family members can help too. There's always someone who has those weird remedies that actually help! Sometimes all you can do is just stick it out and hope it ends soon.

Its all part of it. Within the first and second semester. Then you will start eating like a horse at least thats what my wife did. She ate everyhtng in site. Then she wanted to go to Mcdonalds, or Burger King, somedays she wanted Arby's or Kentuckly Fried.
Then its shrimp or steak dinners...geez I'm glad its all over for me.
You ladies are unreal when your pregnant. I only hope your hubby is good to you as I was to my wife when she was pregnant. She got everything she wanted.

Do you get sick just in the morning? Every day? Maybe you have a bug.

I'm sure it is normal ~ maybe an indication of your babies personality. (Easy going and then teenage years, bam, watch out- - just kidding).

Call your doctors office and speak to the nurse about your concerns. I'm sure they can help you feel better about this then we can.

Good luck.

With my pregnancies, I started feeling sick (never was ACTUALLY sick) around week 9. It continued to week 16 and stopped dead!
It's horrible. Nibbling ginger biscuits helped for me and sipping continually on water.

It'll pass, don't worry too much..

(You'll be worrying about something different next week!!)
