In my area they usually don't test the mother for drugs unless they have a reason too. The urine test that they take at your Dr. office is to check for key-tones and protein in your urine to make sure there is no toxemia. I don't know if it is nominal in most area's to automatically test the mother and child but I think in most cases it is only if they have a report or reason to think
