I think that we can make our own destiny, what we do defines who we are. Yet we are always changing, like the tide in the sea; rising and falling, that's life, we have to accept it. But if things take an unexpected turn, be sure that things happen for a reason, everything is meant to be. Sometimes we just don't know the reason. But if things get out of hand, and you feel like you are loosing your grip, if you really feel that destiny is leading your life not you: then take a hold of the reins. Yes, sometimes it's hard, but you have the power, we all have the power, to lead our own lives in the direction we choose. Finding our way to that point is the difficult bit though. So, yes we are swayed by destiny, but life is what we make of it; grasp life and live it!

You can't make destiny. Destiny is just whats going to be. Choices we make might change when, where or how things happen, but they are always going to just be, no matter what. Just enjoy yourself and leave destiny alone. She will do as she pleases and happen when she happens.

We are the masters of our own destiny. This sentence you have heard of many times. This is true but only for the people who work very hard for everything they want. But we can do nothing if the circumstances and resources are not favouring us. but we can always wait for the right moment to act again with our full preparation. Never feel dishearted because god provide us many oppurtunities we can make use of.

You can make your own destiny. You can be anything that you want to be and you didn't need me to tell you that! Don't allow anyone to bring you down or tell you that you can't do anything. You can and will accomplish your dreams. All you need is success and yourself to make your destiny come true!

Within certain parameters, you can. You're not going to sprout wings just because you really want to, and if a big enough asteroid hits Earth, then you're gonna die no matter what you want, but within the parameters of things like your environment, your biology, etc... you can make choices. This isn't a Greek tragedy.
