Some of my favorite composers were Jewish, including my ultimate favorite, Gustav Mahler, and I also love the music from Felix Mendelssohn.

(I have no idea how they came up with this.)

No, most composers were NOT Jewish. In fact, there are very few Jewish composers at all before the 19th century due to anti-Jewish feelings and marginalisation that was rife for several centuries in Europe. Although one can name non-Jewish composers from the 10th century onwards, it was not until 900 years later that Jews were accepted enough to be accepted into schools, colleges and universities to practise as musicians. The earliest Jewsish composers are Meyerbeer (b 1791), Halévy (b 1799) and Mendelssohn (b 1809 - who was not a practising Jew). You already have some pointers for Stravinsky. You will find all the information you need on him just by using a search engine.

I've no idea, but I do know that Mendelssohn and Mahler were both Jewish - hence their music being banned by the Nazis.
