"Worst" is an interesting term. Wikipedia has an extensive discussion on the term "worst film ever" and then a few lists to cover those definitions.
For me the "worst" film is the one that is so disappointing in comparison to what it could have been. That usually means a sequel that should never have happened.
So Santa Claus Conquers the Martians (1964) is a bad film, but is harmless enough.
Whereas Caddyshack II (1988) and the second Ace Ventura film are among the worst ever because they should never have been made.
Far Away So Close is another sequel that I fret about. I can kinda see what Wim Wenders was trying to do, but it was awful compared to Wings of Desire.
And I also hate awful remakes of foreign films like Taxi, Shall We Dance and Dude, où est Mon Auto? :)
