Young guys are very insecure about body image, the same as young girls are. And it's worse if they watch porn and compare themselves to the freakishly-endowed/enhanced actors they see in porn movies. By the late teens most have begun to accept their body the way it is and enjoy what they have, so it's generally a self-limiting obsession. Sadly, a few guys never grow out of it and may need counseling to get over their feelings of worthlessness. In that case their problems are much more complicated than just wanting to look like some guy with a dildo in a blue movie.

It's what we do. Since the beginning of time when guys first discovered they had a penis, they have worried if it is big enough.
We get over it, but most guys have a love affair with their own penis, and they want it to be the best that it can be.

well why do women obsess over having larger breasts? because it makes them seem to a better version of their sex. whoever has the biggest breasts and penis wins.
