Hi you need to use othe form of contraception for the first month after starting the pill. A morning after pill needs to be taken with the first 72 hours after unprotected sex for it to be effective. How well do you and your partner now each other because more then pregancy can result from unprotected sex.etc stds. CONDOMS and DENTAL DAMS are very useful.
I hope you have your period but suggest being tested for HIV etc.
Good luck

well microgynon takes 7 days to begin working so if you have had unprotected sex during that 7 day period then its best to take the ma pill again. but the ma pill is only effective upto 72hrs after unprotected sex so make sure its still within this time range before you do. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist, they have some great advice and leaflets on it and its all completely confidential.

The pill is not immediately active therefore you took some risk. This is true even if your partner did not ejaculate inside you. By the way, withdrawal as that technique is called, has itself been responsible for tens of thousands of bouncing babies over the years.
I am afraid the story that you give demonstrates an extreme level of naivety. In general we usually end up calling girls like you 'mummies' sooner or later.
Once you have sorted this current issue out I suggest you spend a little time getting a decent sex education manual.

First of all I think you need a different birth control than constantly relying on the morning after pill. This pill should not be abused and it sounds like that is what you are doing. This pill was manufactured for emergency contraception. Like for instance a rape or something to that extent. You should not be using it everytime you have sex. If you dont want to get pregnant please use another form of birth control. Like the depo or iud. Further more also use condoms if this is not a committed relationship. If you are having sex with more than one partner you need to use condoms and please be tested for hiv/aids. This is how this fatal disease just keeps getting out of control. You are palying russian roulette.

this is for the person who asked if you thought you could get pregnant by swallowing. Get real. Obviously, the concern is that any precum from the guy may have travelled along and fertilized. I understand your concern HS and think you should take the pill just in case. It would be even better if you spoke to a gynaecologist or pharmacist later to assuage your fears.

The morning after pill stops the fertilized egg from attaching itself to the wall of the uterus. The egg is fertilized mutually as in the Fallopian tube. It takes an egg some week to shuttle from the ovary to the dazzling of the uterus. It does not end the ovary from freeing an egg.

im no doctor but my advice to you would be to take the morning after pill again just in case. if you dont want a child it is better to be safe than sorry. in future if you arent sure the pill will work always insist on him using a condom - think about the disease element too! good luck !

all a bit complicated, and i will tell u that the microgynon wont have protected u, because u took it outta cycle, and the morning after pill only works up to 72hrs, what u can do, is get an IUD put in which will act as emergency contraception. just because he didnt ejaculate in u, doesnt mean there isnt any sperm present, fluid leaks from some guys as soon as they have an erection, its meant to lubricate u

There's no harm in taking it anyway. Nip along to the nearest pharmacy and have a chat with the Pharmacist.
