For me it is Cinemuerte. This is a relatively new group from Portugal, but music in English. 2 member group, female lead singer. The female lead singer is sexy hot. Beautiful, but hard voice and the music is kind of gothic instrumentally, but an electronic beat. When I was stationed in Portugal, I was given a Raging Planet sample CD by one of the record companies promoters while at a rock festival. Check them and the record company out, one of my favorite bands.

A group which split up shortly after it gained fame: The New Radicals.
Consider this a minor part in a grassroots lobby effort for their reunion.
The New Radicals provided witty songwriting with a good sound. The POV was fresh, the vocalist solid.
Find 'em and enjoy.

erasure, they haven't really been popular in the states in 20 years but they keep putting out incredible music (plus andy bells solo album, it was glorious!)
