sure, i do eat rice and i take them twice a day. ok, i can't get the real meaning of your question. does it mean we are poor, so we take rice? or it means taking rice will make us poor?
to answer your question, people here in Asia take rice as their main meal(lunch and dinner), it really not that matter poor or rich, because everyone is eating it.

Maybe she's basing it off of third world countries in Asia. Cause a lot of Asian's eat rice and there are a lot of poor people from Asia. But, Japan is not a poor country and they eat a lot of rice especially w/sushi. Anyways, to answer your question, I love rice and I don't think I'm poor.

I eat rice but i am not poor. Get better friends. They sure are intellectually challenged bunch. Is there such a thing as food for the rich and food for the poor? Good god, start looking around for a new set of friends and fast!

I eat rice as a side dish. I love it. You can spice it up or add about anything to it. My Husband eats it as a cereal, he puts butter sugar and milk on it. I don't like it that way. But rice is not for poor people. I can't think of any food that would be classified as for poor people.

Of course I eat rice. My country produces only rice and not wheat. And the richest people in my land eat rice. Even if they go to other parts of the globe, they still eat rice. We are proud of our rice, we never feel poor, we feel blessed, we love it.
