If india want to be on the top of the ICC table then they have to keep performing at the best of their ability.
Seeing their current form and also the form of australia it looks pretty good that india can definitely be at the top of the list .
Hoping for the best and wishing India the best of luck for the World cup.

India haved never reached no. 1 position in ICC cricket ranking. At present India are placed at No. 4 in Test Rankings with 107 points and Australia is placed at No. 1 position with 135 points. As far as One Day ranking is concerned India is placed at 6 with 108 points. Australia and South Africa are at no. 1 and 2 positions with 128 pointsw each.

From this level, i do nnot think India can reach to the No. 1 position in the near future.

Currently Australia and South Africa are joint No1 on 128 points. India are on 108 points so have a little work to do in order to get to the top. South Africa seem to be the most consistent side at the moment and are therefore probably favourites to go to No1 in the world ODI rankings.

India will surely be but for that they have to win matches. So even if they win the world cup they can climb up the ladder but not to the top. So they have to win consistently to get there. But they will surely be on top one day and that is not too far...

Not so early. Even if India finishes on top at the world cup.. Consistency is their biggest problem.

no way india can never be at the top, because the main reason of it is if india wins one series then other two series they will lose. because they get very exited and are over confident.
