We have opposing views, most of it has to do with the leadership of both country's. I believe that people are much alike, but the leadership of both country's need to step down before there is another world wide war.

What I see is the biggest obstacle between Iran and the USA is the core beliefs of each nation. Iran is entrenched in Islam, which seems to teach that no other religion is legitimate. It has many followers that use the Quran as a tool of violence and as such, commit the most atrocious violations against their fellow human beings.
The people of the USA will never accept the killing of children, the bombing of innocents, or the beheading of prisoners, all to make a political point.
So basically, the ideologies between the two nations are simply not compatible. Eventually, I believe we will have a military conflict with Iran.

You mean besides the fact that Iran violated one of the oldest laws known to man.
Diplomatic immunity
when the government of Iran stood by and helped the students occupy the US embassy in Tehran and hold the diplomats hostage.
The very act, is an act of barbarism
Iran has never brought or even tried to bring the criminals to justice.
So if Iran wants good relations with America, they could start by arresting and convicting each of the criminal scum involved.

US and Iran cannot have a good relationship because both countries have different interests and religions. A democracy cannot come into terms with an Islamic state that harbors terrorism to fight against Israel which is supported by US.

When Jimmy Carter was in office and we had the kidnappings , Iranians professed death to America ever since. Our regular relationship cannot even begin until that simple phrase is gone and Iran stops funding and training terrorist.

1. Iranian president is nothing more than Hitler wearing a filthy nightshirt and a head scarf. He has already publicly stated his extreme hatred for the Jews and willingness to kill them.
2. Iranian nazi fascists have already publicly stated they WILL nuke the US and Israel when they have the ability.

Iran has chanted "Death to America" for decades.
But currently things are heating up because ever since Ahmadinejad took office in 2005, he's been trying to escalate the situation between our countries.

We did for a very long time. Recognize other countries, including Israels right to exist. Allow the free flow of trade. Protect Human rights. Do not promote terror. Keep the religious fanatics in check. Do not seek Nuke weapons. Be a good friend and Neighbor. Very simple.

History of bad blood. The US put Khomeni in power and he turned his back on the US so George Bush Sr. gave biological weapons to Hussein of Iraq to use on Iran and he killed over 30,000 Iranians with them. Then Hussein then turned his back on the US so that is one of the true reasons we attacked Iraq. To get back the bio and nuclear weapons Bush sr gave them.
