This question sounds like a set-up to me.

I know from first-hand knowledge that some immigrants are detained in immigration holding facilities for years if they are illegal or have been convicted of crimes, and if sending them back to their country would result in them being tortured or killed.

I have also read the papers concerning some of the misconduct of a few of our soldiers in the Middle East.

Thus, I expect the questioner to write a statement in several hours stating that the nation is the United States, and George Bush and his cronies should be tried for the crimes stated above.

Sorry, I beat you to the punch!

Surely, especially if their armies slaughter innocent civilians in horrid car bombings. Ruthlessly round up people and leave their bound, tortured bodies in fields. Kidnap and execute innocent civilians, video taping some of them so they can be released to the news media.

Kidnappers and other criminals must not escape the penalties being imposed by courts because people will have no faith in government.
