Alonso vs Fisichella 2005
Kimi vs JPM 2005
Jenson vs Rubens 2006
These were the most anticipated battles of the new team mates in the recent times, but the results were rather one sided, the victor being the guy who had been in the team longer.
Is Massa vs Kimi going to follow the same trend? At the moment, it is. Quite surprisingly really, considering Kimi's reputation and Ferrari's great expectation from him. Having said that, Massa is no slouch and he has been driving for the Scuderia on and off since 2003, so you can't write him off at all. Interesting situation would evolve if Massa indeed was faster throughout the season....he will surely be asking (wanting atleast) for a pay rise.
Perhaps there is something that Kimi doesn't like in the F2007. Driving style adjustment and/or car adjustment will be keeping the Finn and the mechanics busy for some time.

the race is not for the swift... it's a long season.

while massa is doing well in testing, it's by no means a guarantee that he will become champion... kimi was poached by ferrari, and we all know that ferrari wants to build their team around kimi -- in the same fashion when schumi lead the team...

the testing is good as the massa and kimi will push each other to do better... but in the end, my money will be on the iceman.

I think that massa and kimi are testing with different set ups. Take for example:Pedro was faster than alonso in Tuesdays testing but it does not mean that pedro is a better driver. I think you can determine the better driver only once the races start.
